| History: | A proposal to change the name Upper Bohn Lake to Eaton H Magoon Lake was submitted by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) NMD in June 1990. The U.S. Board on Geographic Names (USBGN) rejected the proposal on 5 September 1991, and voted to retain the name Upper Bohn Lake. This decision was based on the recommendation of the California Board, which cited the lack of local support for the change. |
