History: | On December 23, 2022 H.R. 1776, the James M. Inhofe National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 was approved as Public Law 117-263. Section 5946 of Public Law 117-263 designates a reef located in the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary as Brennan Reef in honor of the late Rear Admiral Richard T. Brennan of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). |
