History: | The name Mount Corcoran, used in the Wheeler Survey reports, and confirmed by the United States Geographic Board in 1891, had not become established in local usage by 1907. From 1907 to 1928, the name Mount Langley came into common use, and was well established. On June 30, 1933, the United States Board on Geographic Names reconsidered the case but made no change in its decision concerning the name Mount Corcoran. The name Mount Langley was still firmly established in local usage in 1943. |
